Thierry Breton Chairman and CEO of Atos Origin

Thierry Breton (53) was elected Chairman and CEO of Atos Origin and a member of the Board of Directors in February 2009. He was previously Executive Managing Director and then Vice Chairman of the Bull Group from 1993 to 1996. He later became Chairman and CEO of Thomson from 1997 to 2002 and of France Telecom from 2002 to 2005. From February 2005 to May 2007, Thierry Breton was the French Minister of Economy, Finance and Industry.
 

A graduate of the Ecole supérieure d'électricité "Supelec" of Paris and of the Institut des Hautes Etudes de Défense Nationale, he has been honored with the prestigious awards of "Officier de la Légion d'Honneur" and "Commandeur de l'Ordre National du Mérite".

René ABATE

A member of the Board of Directors since February 2009 and a former member of Atos Origin Supervisory Board, René Abate is managing partner of Delphen Sarl and senior advisor of The Boston Consulting Group. He is Board Member of Carrefour, LFB (Laboratoire Français du Fractionnement et des Biotechnologies). He is also a Board member of L’Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées and a member of L’ENVOL pour les enfants européens, a non-profit association.

Behdad ALIZADEH

A member of the Board of Directors since February 2009 and a former member of Atos Origin Supervisory Board. He is Chairman of Pardus Europe and is also a member of the Board of Valeo France and a member of the Board of the Governor’s Committee on Scholastic Achievement.

Nicolas BAZIRE

A member of the Board of Directors since February 2009. He is a member of the Supervisory Board of Rothschild & Cie, and Managing director of Arnault Group. He is also a member of the Board of LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton Group, Suez Environnement and the Carrefour Group.

Jean-Paul BECHAT

A member of the Board of Directors since February 2009. A former Chairman and CEO of Snecma, then chairman of the Management Board of Safran, he is managing director of Arsco SARL and Director of Alstom and Sogepa. He is also Honorary Chairman and member of the Board of the Groupement des Industries Françaises Aéronautiques et Spatiales (GIFAS) and member of the Board of UIMM (Union des Industries et des Métiers de la Métallurgie).

Jean FLEMING

A member of the Board of Directors since May 2009 as the Employee Shareholder Representative. Jean is Human Resources Director for Atos Origin in the UK and her role is to ensure that the views and rights of employees are represented in the Board of Directors. Jean has over 15 years experience in HR and joined Atos Origin in 2004 as HR manager for the Healthcare service line. She was then promoted to HR Director in February 2007. Since June 2007 Jean has been Employee Representative on the Atos Origin FCPE, ‘Atos Origin Stock Plan’.

Bertrand MEUNIER

A member of the Board of Directors since February 2009 and a former Member of Atos Origin Supervisory Board. He is member of the Executive Committee of PAI Partners in charge of all investments. He joined PAI partners in 1982 where he held various positions, including being in charge of investments in the ICT sector, the agro-food industry, and also managing the consumer goods & services, and industry goods & products teams. He has been actively involved in a large number of contracts, notably Equant, Bouygues Telecom, Panzani, Amora-Maille, William Saurin, United Biscuits and Yoplait.

Michel PARIS

A member of the Board of Directors since February 2009 and a former Member of Atos Origin Supervisory Board. He is Senior Partner and member of the Executive Committee of PAI Partners in charge of investments in the services sector. He joined PAI Partners in 1984, covering investments in the ICT sector, then in charge of investments in the retail and services sectors. He has been actively involved in a large number of contracts, notably Sogeres, Bouygues Telecom, Equant, Elior, Frans Bonhomme, Elis, Vivarte, Saur, Coin, Kwik Fit, Cortefiel and Monier.

Pasquale PISTORIO

A member of the Board of Directors since February 2009. He is Honorary Chairman of SGS-Thomson Microelectronics (STMicroelectronics) after having also been its Chairman and CEO. He is Honorary Chairman of ST Foundation and chairman of Sagem Wireless (France). A former chairman of the Board at Telecom Italia, he is also an independent director of Fiat S.p.A and a member of the internal consultative Committee for the Government of Singapore, of the International Affairs Committee by the World Economic Forum, and of the Strategic ICT Committee in France.  

Vernon L. SANKEY

A member of the Board of Directors since February 2009 and a former member of Atos Origin Supervisory Board. He is chairman of Firmenich SA (Switzerland) and a director of Zurich Financial Services AG. He is also member and advisor to GLP Llp and member of Pi Capital in the UK. He advises numerous companies on their investments, particularly on private equity. He was previously CEO of Reckitt and Colman. 

Jean-Philippe THIERRY

A member of the Board of Directors since February 2009 and a former chairman of Atos Origin Supervisory Board. He is chairman of French insurance group AGF and chairman of the Allianz Holding France SAS and Tocqueville Finance Holding. He is also chairman of the Supervisory Board of Euler-Hermes and of the Mondial Assistance Group and also a director of PPR and Société Financière Foncière et de Participations (FFP).
