Chief Technology Integrator, Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games
Magnus Alvarsson is the Chief Integrator for Atos Origin for the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Games. As head of Atos Origin’s Major Events team in Vancouver, he is responsible for all Atos Origin activities as they pertain to the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Games and surrounding projects. To accomplish this, Magnus draws on his vast IT-experience both from previous Olympics and from his time as a consultant working for Atos Origin in Sweden since 1994.
Magnus was Atos Origin’s Integration Manager for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Summer Games, the Info Diffusion Manager (IDS) Manager for the Athens 2004 Olympic Summer Games, and the Central Repository System (CRS) Manager for the Salt Lake City 2002 Winter Olympic Games.
In Beijing Magnus was responsible for the integration of all the software and hardware solutions to deliver a seamless and complete end-to-end solution for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Summer Games in close cooperation with all the partners and customers.
Magnus has a degree in Information Technology.
