Major Events was appointed IT provider of the 10th FINA World Championships held in Barcelona in July 2003.

During the competition's thirteen days, Barcelona was the world reference for aquatic sports. The event brought together all the stars of the moment, participating in swimming, water polo, synchronized swimming, diving and open water events. Atos Origin played its part in ensuring that the logo, "Serà increïble" ("just unbelievable"), became true.

The proposed solution covers Games Management Systems (including accreditation for 15,000 participants) and the management of the event intra-extranet and some of the website publications. This project was completed thanks to a great collaboration with Omega in charge of the Timing and Scoring of the competitions.
