Atos Origin - the IT Expert at the Major Sporting Events

Atos Origin, a world leader in supplying technology solutions for major sporting events, is the official partner for The Race, the grueling sailing event created by Bruno Peyron, the first man ever to circumnavigate the world non-stop, in under 80 days.

Setting off from Barcelona on 31 December 2000, The Race is the first competitive, non-stop, team circum-navigation. Contestants are expected to arrive in Marseille in early March 2001 having faced many legendary challenges along the way including the Cape of Good Hope, Cape Leeuwin and Cape Horn.

As Official Partner, Atos Origin is managing the entire accreditation system for the event. A total of more than 2,000 people - including competitors, organizing staff, journalists, partners and guests - will require accreditation at the two main competition sites: Barcelona and Marseille.
