Dutch Sustainability Day
As part of the Dutch national “Dag van de Duurzaamheid” (Sustainability Day) on September 9th (09-09-09), Atos Origin in the Netherlands is organizing several activities around that theme at various locations in support of its three charities, the World Wildlife Fund, the Third World Fund and Right to Play.
Got the guts to rumba? Come and Zumba for WNF!
In Utrecht, as many employees as possible are participating in a collective Zumba Clinic. The revolutionary Zumba is inspired by Latin- American dance and is a fat burning, muscle toning workout.
To give the whole thing just that bit more swing, rumba shakers will be on sale and any profits made will be doubled by Atos Origin and donated to The Coral Triangle Initiative by the World Wildlife Federation, to make sure that among others, the fish in our corporate logo will stay protected in its natural environment.
Donation of clothes for Right to Play
Several Atos Origin locations are organizing a collection of old clothing during September. Again, any profits made will be doubled by Atos Origin, and these will be used to support the charity Right to Play which aims to give all the children in the world the opportunity to play and practice sports.
Collecting empty plastic bottles for the Third World Fund
Employees can also donate empty plastic bottles that have a return fee (deposit) to several selected Atos Origin locations. The profits will again be doubled by Atos Origin and donated to the Third World Fund which supports small scale projects, private initiatives and microcredit in Third World countries.
WNF Sandwich
From 09-09-09 and until the end of this year, Atos Origin’s company restaurants will be serving a delicious sandwich made with responsibly caught fish. These are fish that have been caught in a way which doesn’t harm or damage the sustainability of fish stocks. 25 Euro cents from every sandwich sold will go to the Coral Triangle Initiative of the World Wildlife Fund and at the end of the year Atos Origin will double the figure made.
